Some cafes have to try hard to recreate the countryside charm which is so natural at Charmed Interiors. The family run business is mainly a home furnishing store but the cafe is a welcome addition to the store. Located in a converted barn right next to The River Ouse between the two bridges at The Hythe, this is the most charming cafe around.



Slightly away from the village, this cafe is called the hidden gem of Downham Market and it really lives up to its name. With a classic and eclectic style, the cafe showcases some of the beautiful interior products on sale in the shop. The friendly staff make this place what it is, the welcoming atmosphere keeps people visiting all the time and it is obviously popular with locals.



The vintage style tea rooms will impress everyone and there is a range of food to choose from including baguettes, jacket potatoes, chips, sandwiches as well as smoothies, coffees and teas.



This is the place to go for hearty breakfasts and delicious lunch options. The array of cakes available will tempt everyone. There is even the option to have afternoon tea and alcohol, why not make lunch extra special with a glass of wine while you catch up with friends. You can reserve a table here for birthdays which would be a lovely treat for your loved ones. This is the perfect place to relax after shopping or before a countryside walk.



The tea room is open Monday-Saturday, 9am-4pm. Located right next to The Fens this is the perfect pit stop for people out walking and exploring the countryside. Plus there is plenty of parking and spots for blue badge holders right next to the door which is handy and makes the cafe accessible.
