I recently visited the Charlotte Street Hotel with a client to rest following a hectic afternoon. While waiting to attend a conference call, we decided to settle for some afternoon tea.



Firstly, the service at the hotel was exceptional - the waiter always helped us with questions, advised on the best tea and what afternoon tea to select.

As it so happens, we went for the Jubilee Afternoon Tea, which included sandwiches, scones, strawberries and cream, tarts and victoria sponge. We also had tea to go with it (we could have had champagne, but decided against it because we were working). I tried the silver-tipped tea while my client opted for Earl Grey.



The food was well worth the wait and the two of us felt full before we'd finished. I would highly recommend visiting the hotel if you're on business, as the atmosphere is relaxed, yet professional. The food is good value for money and the tea is a must.
