Charlie's Storytelling Party is led by children's entertainer and actress Charlie Sanderson. She'll choose some children's books to read in a fun and interactive storytelling sessions. Charlie regularly performs all over Hampshire, previous storytelling parties at the Basingstoke Discovery Centre have included singing, dancing, bubbles and even a giant parachute. Charlie's Storytelling Party is aimed at younger children, but it's recommended that children are at least 3 years old. Parent supervision is required for the entirety of the storytelling session.

Charlie is colourful and engaging, creating a fun 45 minute show for children. She's got the perfect amount of enthusiasm for a children's entertainer, and she brings story time to life.

There are two sessions on the Monday, one at 10am and one at 11.15am, both require signing up online to book your spot. Tickets are £3.75 per person, but parents can accompany and supervise their children for free. You can also call the Basingstoke Discovery Centre for more information on 0300 555 1387.

The Basingstoke Discovery Centre is located on at the Festival Place Shopping Centre in Basingstoke. It's approximately 32 miles from Southampton, and approximately 35 minutes away on the M3.

If you're interested in finding similar events for your children, find a Hampshire library closest to you or your local Southampton library. Libraries regularly have very cheap, or free events, that are fun for kids and help introduce them to a love of reading and books. Libraries can be a great place to visit in the school holidays when you're trying to find activities to keep your children occupied and entertained.
