When Lauren Child created Charlie & Lola, I doubt she realised just how popular these little characters would be. The two siblings made their first appearance in Child's picture book, I will not ever NEVER eat a tomato, and were so adored that they went on to make a television series. Not long after that, Charlie & Lola were facing a live audience at the Polka Theatre, which appears to have become their permanent home, for not a time goes by when I don't see their faces postered on the theatre's window.
The charming children will be on stage again from the 27th April, where they will be performing their Extremely New Play until the 17th August. Charlie & Lola want to invite all 4-7 year olds on their next magical journey through the seasons, where everything is different and not the same. While Lola has to look after Sizzles the dog, her brother Charlie meets Pirate Squidbones on an exciting adventure. The show lasts 75 minutes and costs £16 to book.
There will also be numerous related workshops throughout the season, which you can book by calling 020 8543 4888.
