You know him from his role as country singer Deacon Claybourne in the hit TV series Nashville and his UK concert tours with fellow cast members. But now Charles Esten is embarking on his first solo British tour, starting at Birmingham Town Hall on Tuesday, January 15, 2019.

The 53-year-old from Pittsburgh made his theatrical debut in London, portraying Buddy Holly in Buddy. During the run his comedy and improvisational skills were recognised, leading to appearances on Channel 4's Who's Line Is It Anyway?. He then starred in the US version of the show, establishing himself as a serial contestant due to his singing ability where he was often paired with Wayne Brady on musical games.

Other television roles include being the father on Disney Channel's Jessie, a Klingon on Star Trek: The Next Generation, a secretary on Murphy Brown and Kelly Bundy's fiancé on the series finale of Married with Children.

His music career flourished as he showcased his talents in Nashville which ran for six seasons from 2012 till 2018. He joined Clare Bowen , Chris Carmack , Jonathan Jackson and Sam Palladio on several UK tours, which proved so popular that after the first tour subsequent shows were upgraded from theatres to arenas. In July 2017, Charles gained a Guinness World Record for the most consecutive weeks to release an original digital single by a music act. He called this project "#EverySingleFriday" where he released a new song which he wrote or co-wrote, recorded and released every Friday for 54 consecutive weeks. His most popular single on Spotify is Through The Blue which has earned over five million streams since its release.

UK country-pop trio The Adelaides have been confirmed as special guests on the UK tour.
