Refresh your wardrobe and help a good cause at the same time at the Charity Dress Swap at Colden Common Community Centre. The dress swap will be held on Sunday 4th February from 2pm-5pm. Money raised at the dress swap will go towards two charities: Cash for Kids and Dravet Syndrome UK.
The premise of the dress swap is simple. You bring along three items of clothing and exchange them for vouchers. You can then browse through everyone else's items and select three to take home with you. Your three items don't have to be 'dresses', you can bring along any items of clothing as long as they're good quality items and don't have any damage.
Tickets for the Charity Dress Swap are £10 if booked in advance and £12 if purchased at the door. Your ticket gets you entry to the swap and a free drink on arrival. As well as swapping clothes, there will be a raffle on the day and other stall holders showcasing their wares. There will also be food and drinks available for purchase on the day. Tickets can be purchased from The Pink Room in Fair Oak, The Vanity Lounge or Touch Health and Beauty in Bishopstoke.
Cash for Kids are a charity that provide financial and wellbeing support for kids in need. Cash for Kids works hand in hand with other charities by providing grants to support projects and initiatives aimed to assist disabled or disadvantaged children.
Dravet Syndrome UK is a specialty charity organisation that supports children affected by Dravet Syndrome. The syndrome is a form of epilepsy and can result in seizures. Children are usually diagnosed during their first year of birth and the seizures can lead to developmental delays and other difficulties for children with the syndrome.
