Fun Over The Hill
celebrating age festival, merton council

So I'm a wrinkly, crinkly, set in my ways
It's true that my body has seen better days,
But give me half a chance and I can still misbehave
One foot in the grave
One foot in the grave

Don't be a Victor Meldrew, there's life in you yet. Just because your hair is turning grey doesn't mean you're 'too old to rave'. Enjoy the wisdom of experience with Age UK Merton for their annual Celebrating Age Festival.

Merton has organised lots of activities for over fifties to get involved in between 2nd - 29th September; from day trips, fitness classes, social meet-up, and more, you can get some great deals. For the first time, many of the activities are free, and the most you're ever going to have to pay is 24 for transport.

Keep fit with fun exercise classes such as a free Zumba Gold workout, table tennis, golf, line & tap dancing, walking football, and Tai Chi.

Take a day trip to Eastbourne, tour the House of Parliament, discover Chatham Historic Dockland, or enjoy the races at Kempton Park. All of these trips provide a coach and house pick-up if required.

If you live on your own, it can get lonely so meet new people in community by joining them for coffee mornings, board games, quizzes, pub lunches, afternoon tea, knitting, a candle-light supper, or a pie and mash evening.
