Situated in the new line of restaurants next to the Kingston Bridge along the Thames, CAU brings Buenos Aires to Kingston in the most tongue tingling kind of way.
With a selection of Argentinian inspired dishes including steaks and burgers, you're sure to find something that you fancy, whether it be a huge steak or one or a number of their 'small plates' for the ones with a small appetite.
It's laid back style in all aspects: comfort food, the monochrome and stainless steel decor and the very friendly staff and you are made to feel right at home straight away. Come for a special occasion, a casual dinner or just a couple of drinks along the river in the sunshine.
Of course though, my favourite part of the whole occasion was the cocktail menu, CAU slightly alter all of the classic cocktails to give them a Buenos Aries feel. The Buenos Aires Ice Tea for example is possibly the best drink that I have ever consumed, much like the Long Island Ice Tea but with slightly different ingredients. Their CAU G&T is also very enjoyable, not that you can really differ on a drink that mostly consists of two ingredients..
However, if you do go to CAU make sure to try out their 'CAU Cornflake Ice Cream Sundae' it genuinely tastes like you're eating a bowl of cereal, but much more enjoyable than a boring bowl of cornflakes AND every with Sundae that you buy they donate 20p to a local children's hospice - there you go, even more reason to have a dessert!
