There's new kids on the block. Micro pubs are the new craze that are causing a rumble amongst breweries and across the British pub industry.

Cask on Liverpool Road has got to be one of the best Northern micro-pubs around, quite simply because the beers, lagers, and ales are so varied and of high quality.

It isn't the largest, but everyone knows great things come in small packages, and Cask really boasts this idea: inside it is more spacious than it looks on the outside, but small enough to be cosy and enjoyable after a hard day at work.

You'll find Cask is a popular venue with locals, but also people who appreciate good lager and interesting beer and ale. It's what Cask specialise in, so if you hear someone order a round of Erdinger Dunkel don't worry, it's one of their German bottles.

In terms of price it's pretty average to good considering the quality of the drinks on offer, and the range available. You'll pay an average of £3.50 per bottle, and will have the luxury of trying out a Belgian, or German brew with your mates. Cheers to that.
