Funghi is a mushroom antipasti served at Casa Nostra; the mushrooms are deep fried in breadcrumbs, filled with goats cheese, and served on a bed of rocket. Although I had a cold, the smell of the goat's cheese was prominent. I got a whiff of the lovely melted cheese mixing with the mushrooms as soon as the plate was put in front of me. The dish continued to live up to expectation; it tasted excellent, especially with the acidity of the balsamic vinegar dressing. All the flavours in this dish married together beautifully, and at £6.55, it was just the right size for a starter.
