After the success of last year, Camden Lock has announced the return of its second boutique urban festival, Camden Lock Live. Open from 10am - 10pm, it is a day of free entertainment with live music, a market, street food, and other Epicurean delights.
Three stages will be the platform for cutting edge entertainment, including Whinnie Williams, songwriter, Jake Isaac, rapper, Tigger Da Author, guitar duo, Youth Club, and solo artist Sam Garrett.
The Global Kitchen will be serving delicacies from around the world, with stalls such as Pop Dogs, Smoke n Roll, Mama's Jerk, Cowboy Cottage, and Dutch Pancakes. If you like your beer, visit the BrewDog, where you can enjoy the taste of the pub, but with an outside view of Regent's Canal.
Look forward to street performances in the Middle Yard, where you'll be entertained by The Folk Dance Remixed Company in a hip hop-folk routine around the maypole. Fancy having a go yourself? The Big Dance will be offering interactive dance classes and demonstrations.
Afterwards (I recommend not before), head over to the Reggae Roast Tent for original Jamaican rum and refreshing cocktails. Fashion Meets Music will also be hosting trunk fashion shows and an eco-fashion installation, with outfits made from recycled material.
