In the frontier days pioneers travelled to America on a ship across the sea, and famous vessels were presented as models inside glass wine bottles. Today things have changed a bit. Now people travel across America in a wine glass.
At least they do at The Camden Eye, where on the 30th July they will be holding an American Wine Tasting session. For £10 y'all will be able to sample a whole host of American wines, including red, white, and blue - sorry, dessert. From 7pm upstairs will give you the low down on what's hot and what's chilled in the world of wine. Travel coast to coast in a wine glass, exploring the specialties of different regions. This will be accompanied by good old American chow, such as hot dogs, burgers, barbecue ribs, and sweetcorn. Burgers are served in a brioche bun, and you can choose from classic beef, corn-fed chicken, or spicy bean. These come with a variety of toppings, such as bacon, cheese, guacamole, jalapeño peppers, egg, and pineapple. Enjoy your nosh and tipples with American tunes and selected movies to complete the state-side mood.
You can either book in advance or at the door, and NUS card holders get a 10% discount.
