Caitlin Moran has come a long way since her days growing up on a council estate in the industrial Midland city of Wolverhampton. From a self-conscious teenager, she has blossomed into a modern day feminist and icon to women across the world.
But one thing has stayed the same - she still has plenty to say.

Caitlin Moran takes her wit on tour
The Times columnist is now hitting the road to visit towns across the UK on a tour coinciding with her new book,
How To Build A Girl. The tour stops off at venues from London to Birmingham, Edinburgh and Leeds during July.
I saw Moran speak last year during the Hay-on-Wye book festival when she was animated, funny and passionate about women's rights, among other subjects. What was also refreshing was that no subject seemed out of bounds or too taboo to talk about. She had a particularly funny story on addressing the skimpy clothes pop star Rihanna wears with her two young daughters. As a mother, her way of dealing with it was to make them feel sorry for Rihanna as she was wearing so little when it is so cold.
During this tour, Moran has said she plans to focus on the topics of men, women, and issues close to her heart like BBC drama Sherlock, David Bowie, big hair, feminism and the welfare system.
There will also be time, of course, to discuss the female revolution.
It was Moran's venture into writing books that led to her being catapulted on to the world's stage. Her first book,
How To Be A Woman, was acclaimed for tackling female issues with a touch of humour and satire.
She continued her writing success with a follow-up book, Moranthology, and her latest release, How To Build A Girl, has been described as "the only novel so far in existence with an entire chapter about cystitis".
"This is a fabulous opportunity to spend an evening in the unique company of Caitlin Moran as she explores what it is to be a woman, her take on feminism and anything else that happens to pop up," said a tour spokeswoman.
"This promises to be an up-close and very personal exploration. Delivered in Caitlin's irrepressible style, she will take you on a rollercoaster of hilarity and outrage."
Profits from books sold on the night of her shows will going to women's refuge charities local to that venue.
