Cafe Rouge - Southgate

Café Rouge has branches all over London but in my opinion, my local one is perfectly nice. Café Rouge has a full menu of classics for the French food lovers out there - moules marinière (mussels in a cream sauce) with frites (chips). There is also steak and chips, a variety of baguettes filled with all manner of goodies. There is also fish stew (bouillabaisse)

The atmosphere if friendly and comfortable. At my local Café Rouge there are tons of tables with padded chairs, all very warm and comfortable (a god send in this dreadful weather). There are also a set of booths at the back for the more misanthropic amongst us who want to be anti-social. The service is really good too, very polite and efficient.

Café Rouge can be a great way to spend a romantic night, dinner with an old friend or a good place to hire out for a party. All in all all, great all round.
