The hot new trend that's taken off is barbecue style and the Brazilians really know how to do it. I'm not talking about a few skewers of small cubed meat, but great portions of food that will add spice and vitality to your meal.

is a small chain of seven restaurants, mostly in London but they also have one up in Leeds. I was recommended to visit by a friend of mine and when I was last in London decided to try out their site near Covent Garden. It's got a good amount of space outside so if you manage to get a sunny day it would be a lovely spot.

The décor immediately gives you a feel of the lively vibrance of Brazil. Large windows flood the restaurant with sunlight and bright colours give it a party atmosphere.

I loved the open kitchen with the hot coals and grills, where you can see the food being cooked fresh before you.

The menu was chock full of interesting choices and making a choice was difficult. I ended up choosing the zingy lime and garlic chicken skewer and my friend went for the spicy malagueta chicken. On the side we took the recommended sweet potato fries which are always that bit more interesting than your usual chips and the biro biro rice.

I was so impressed when my food arrived. Two great big skewers holding a whole breast of chicken and massive wedges of orange pepper and all smothered in sauce. I loved the theatre of it being brought to the table and slid onto my plate.

The taste also lived up to the anticipation with a great blend between sweet, smooth and sharp from the lime and garlic sauce. My friend loved her sticky and spicy malagueta chicken too. The fries and rice also delivered on taste. Rice is often quite a boring side, but the biro biro is fried with garlic and onions with gives it a Brazilian kicked.

While the menu is mostly meat focused, there's still plenty of choice for vegetarians with stews and salads.

As it was lunchtime, I wasn't planning on having dessert too but was tempted in by the toppings available with their frozen yoghurt. There are no extra charges for them so you can have as many as you like. I had peanut brittle and Oreos and then smothered in a caramel sauce. Just one word needed - delicious.

The service was great too. We had a really attentive and friendly waitress who was happy to chat when we asked questions.

If you're bored of pub grub, pizza and pasta then I'd recommend giving your taste buds a treat and experience a meal at .
