This is my first review in a while, and I wanted to bring you something special to mark my return - so here you have it - .

It has to be one of the best and most important music venues in London, with a long and established history starting off in the early 1900's as a music hall.

Fast forward to now and it plays like a who's who of acts that have become not just superstars, but megastars ' and I'm not making light of this point - everybody from The Who to Adele to the late, great Amy Winehouse have appeared from inside these doors.

Although not always a music venue (it has been in its time a bingo hall and even a soup kitchen), it is by far one of the most beautiful concert halls you have ever seen, I mean, how many venues do you know that have chandeliers? This place has two.

Catering these days to music along the lines of folk, and burlesque nights - don't be surprised to come across comedy nights and more also, this is an independent venue after all, and one that can even be hired out - with a reasonable 350 people capacity making it perfect for everything from awards ceremonies to wedding receptions with a very rock n' roll edge.

Now that you're appetite is whetted, have a look at what's on , make a decision, buy a ticket or two, and get yourself along to a place that I'm sure you will be talking about to your mates, colleagues and family for days to follow - one of London's finest.
