The countdown is on for Brum Rocks Live! at Birmingham Forum on 14 July – and there is still time for budding musicians to join the city’s biggest rock band and perform in the event.

The live show from 6 pm is hosted by BRMB’s Luke Crawford who will take the musicians and audience through the hits - with a few surprise messages of good luck from local rock legends. The event run by Misfits Music Foundation also features the premiere of Birmingham Poet Laureate Jasmine Gardosi’s anthem Brummie Steel.



Singers and musicians who would like to take part can join the rehearsal before the show and have their moment in the spotlight. Misfits Music Foundation artistic director Rob Jones says: “Everyone who has participated in our Brum Rocks workshops have been fantastic, dedicated and willing to push themselves to either sing or play to their best ability and their enthusiasm is something else. We can’t wait to bring everyone together for an event that promises to be like no other.

And he adds: “If you are a budding rock star there is still time to make the decision to join us of if you want to rock out to Birmingham’s newest, biggest, rock band. Tickets are also still available for audiences who we guarantee will also be singing along by the end of the night.”
