The Bridge Street Cafe is the perfect place to visit after a day at the museum


This family run cafe is a great place to visit, open at the same time as the museum on Tuesday to Friday from 10am until 4pm there is plenty of time to visit. There is often shorter hours in winter so please check before visiting.

Located at the Portland Basin Museum, this is the perfect place to visit whilst out exploring the museum or local area. With an affordable food menu, a selection of hot and cold drinks and the choice of the cafes own blend coffee you can enjoy lunch or a snack whilst in the area. Situated right by the canal, this cosy and comfortable cafe is perfect for a relaxed afternoon taking in the stunning views.

This is the perfect place for families. There is plenty of space to sit and eat, an outside area where dogs are welcome and beautiful views of the canal. The cafe can also be rented as a function room so if you have a special occasion coming up and want to hire somewhere unique why not consider a museum cafe. This is a great space for meetings, parties and special events. The cafe opens outside the standard hours for functions so you can have this unique space to yourself.
