Pubs - London is full of 'em, old ones, new ones, good ones, bad ones...it makes you wonder why I need to talk about them any more. Well, when they are as good, and as unique as is, I do and I will.

Starting out from a garage in the deepest Scotland, has grown into a fully functioning small business, with retail outlets and an online shop. The outlet I am going to tell you about is rather special, as it is not just in London's fashionable Shoreditch area, but something rather interesting also happens in the basement...

More about that later - as well as the beers for which Brewdog, as a craft beer producer, are rightly famous, they also have the perfect accompaniment in Texas Joe's , a BBQ pop-up from the larger than life Texan who famously took the jerky for which he is famous onto Dragon's Den in the UK. As you can imagine, with such quality food, the marriage of craft beer is perfect, and with plenty of options to choose from - including the Punk IPA for which they are famous, you couldn't ask for more.

Now, back to downstairs...

Underdog is the basement bar, and a place for the uninitiated to discover the world of beer cocktails. That's right, beer cocktails. It's supposed to be a secret, and as I hate to be the person to reveal other people's secrets, I won't tell you exactly where it is - suffice to say, just ask one of the friendly bar staff to point you in the right direction and you should be fine...

As you can see, with so much cool stuff going on here, it may just become your new favourite place - just make sure there is some BBQ left for me...
