A maze of temptation, each twist and turn through the plentiful stalls reveals a new cluster of foodie heaven. Borough Market sells mature cheeses, organic fruit juices, jams and preserves, coffee, beer, home baked bread, cakes, brownies and meringues. The stall holders let you peruse and sample (yes, plenty of sampling to be done so be warned if you're on a diet; who can refuse free fudge?). You may not get much for a tenner (remember you're in London not Asia), but this market boasts quality produce which the stall holders are proud to sell. You can grab a hot sandwich on the go, or settle down at one of the surrounding bars and cafes (a perfect spot to people watch). You can bustle through the excited crowds at the weekend or meander along with a coffee mid week.
You'll have no problem finding Borough Market, jump on the Jubilee or Northern line on the underground and jump off at London Bridge station, it's right next to it. It's also easy to get there via bus, overground and car (driving in London, are you crazy?), but I'll let Google do the rest of the directing. It's located on 8 Southwark Street, London, SE1 1TL.
