A very pleasant greenish area just 15 minutes walking from
Pype Hayes Park is a place to look after your body & mind. It's located in Erdington and in the boundary of Sutton Coldfield area with a main entrance on Chester Road.
With over 100 acres, Pype Hayes is considered the major park in Birmingham area.
It's also one of the top locations in the city to enjoy the famous fireworks display at the Bonfire Night. At Pype Hayes, the 5th of November is always a special date. With gates open at 5pm and the fireworks spectacular starting at 8pm, it's a unique opportunity to gather family and friends to celebrate Guy Fawkes night in great style.
This year the theme is First World War Commemorations for the 20 minute fireworks display. Free parking will be at the Fort Shopping Centre. A free shuttle bus service will commence at 5.00 pm and the last bus will leave the park at 10.30pm. Limited parking for disabled visitors is available at the park via Chester Road gate. All parking is AA signed.
If you have time to explore the park itself during the afternoon, there is plenty to discover. Places such as the II Listed Building Pype Hayes Hall which has a stunning garden.
This park is also famous for its fish ponds and golf course. There is children`s recreation area as well. The event is free!
