Walking into Bodean's is an invitation to gorge yourself into a meat coma! It is a BBQ haven of delicious meats and drinks including craft beers, the Brooklyn Lager is my personal fave.

You'll find typical Americana diner style decor from Antlers mounted on the wall, leather booths to American baseball or the NFL playing on big screen TVs. It certainly has a great atmosphere and is also suitable for families although potentially a little pricey for some.

It is not until you work your way through the menu that you see what makes Bodean's famous. I would certainly recommend the mammoth meat platter, plenty for three and a huge meaty feast for two, decked out with two types of ribs, pulled pork, chicken thighs and chips all topped off with their signature BBQ sauce (below). Perfect. If you are after something a little less heavy they do seafood really well too.



Bodean's have recently opened their newest branch in Balham, as well as already having well established branches in Soho, Clapham, Tower Hill and Fulham.

If you are looking for gourmet dining, this isn't the place for you what they lack in style and precision, they certainly make up for in flavour and portion sizes. Absolute carnivores delight. But do get here early, unfortunately there is no table booking policy so you may find yourself lurking at the bar at peak times waiting for a table.
