Bubble tea - heard of it? It seems these days in London it is quite the fashion to be seen walking down the street with a see-through cup full of milky tea and tapioca pieces. When there is a fashion, there are lots of places that pop up in order to cater for the trend. There will be good ones, there will be bad ones - luckily is one of the best.

It may seem like a bold statement, but (Boba incidentally being part of the name Boba Tea, the original name for bubble tea), has popped up in the Bethnal Green area to bring the craze to the East Londoners.

Bubble tea, which is basically a combination of fruit or milk based tea drinks combined with tapioca or jelly pieces, originated in Taiwan in the 1980's - the journey to these shores taking a further 30-plus years. There are typically many variations to choose from, and many of these are available at too - with hot and cold options to suit many tastes.

There are options that you won't find in your typical bubble tea cafe too - for example, they have ping pong tables, free wifi and even tablets to search the internet on - as you can see, not your typical bubble tea cafe...

With all this going for them, it surely won't be long before you decide to head along to the Yard and indulge in their combinations of liquid and jelly refreshment, search their internet on their devices, and generally relax and soak it all in. If you've had enough of your lattes, flat whites, and generic cake slices, Boba's Yard could be just the place you've been looking for...
