Can Bloc Regain its Dignity?

Last year, Bloc's music festival was a disaster; they had to cancel the event due to overcrowding, which led many party-goers to lose faith in the once well reputed nightclub organisers. Undeterred, however, the people at Bloc have picked themselves up and brushed themselves down in the hopes of regaining its good name. This year, they have changed venues, and will have performances at Autumn Studios between the 9th March and 1st June.

The event will start off with performers Model 500 & Juan Atkins. Atkins began his music career as a teenager in Detroit as part of a group known as the Bellville Three. He is considered as the one who created techno music as we know it today. Tickets to his show are 20. Following in his footsteps is Omar; another singer from Detroit, he started a third wave evolution in electronic music. Tickets to his show are 15.

Other artists include the UK debut of L.I.E.S, Schackleton & Appleblim, and Bodyhammer: Hercules, who sang the 1986 anthem, Move Your Body.

With these and plenty more performances due this year, will Bloc London be electric, or will it crash and burn like before?
