The CD draws from the worlds of classical, musicals and pop music and features three guest artists – Brit Award nominee Camilla Kerslake, rising classical soprano Rebecca Newman and Filipino superstar Rachelle Ann Go, who is currently starring in the new production of Miss Saigon in London's West-End.
Camilla is supporting Blake on the tour, giving her the opportunity to also join them on stage for a few numbers.
Blake formed in 2007 as a quartet – Jules Knight, Ollie Baines, Dominic Tighe and Stephen Bowman. Their self-titled debut album won the Album of the Year award at the Classical Brits in 2008 and they subsequently released And So It Goes in 2008 and Together in 2009.
The title of that third album proved misleading because they didn't stay together for long - Dominic Tighe quit the group in 2009 to pursue an acting career and was replaced by Humphrey Berney. They were reduced to a trio in 2013 when Jules Knight also left to act, gaining a role in the BBC drama Holby City.
Fourth album, Start Over, marked a change in direction for the group, to contemporary harmony pop with the record featuring original songs and a few carefully selected covers, including Paul McCartney's Beautiful Night and Bob Dylan's Make You Feel My Love.
Over the last seven years Blake have performed three times for the Queen, sung at the Royal Albert Hall, Wembley Stadium and Wimbledon centre court and been seen by half a billion people live on Chinese television. They already have extensive overseas tours confirmed for 2015, including festivals in Barbados, Russia, China and South Korea.
Their In Harmony album is their fifth release and their second to utilise the PledgeMusic system which allows fans to pre-order a signed copy of the album and pledge for VIP experiences with the band, including backstage passes (with champagne in the interval with the singers), album recording studio days and even baking classes with Blake at a top London baking school.
