Icons of Metal come together to celebrate Ozzy Osbourne's Final Performance at Villa Park
A star-studded rock gig to mark Ozzy Osbourne's final concert performance with Black Sabbath is taking place in the band's home city of Birmingham this Summer. The all-day concert also features stars of Metallica, Guns N'Roses, Limp Bizkit, Slayer, Pantera, Alice in Chains, Gojira, Halestorm, Lamb of God, Anthrax and more.
Music Director Tom Morello described it as being “the greatest heavy metal show ever". The original Black Sabbath band members of Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward will play together for the first time in 20 years.
Brummie Osbourne will play his own short set before joining Black Sabbath for his final bow at
The Back To The Beginning gig at Villa Park on July 5.

The all-day event will also feature a supergroup of musicians. Artists announced so far include:

Doors will open at midday for the concert, which will be over by 10.30pm due to the ground's curfew time for gigs.
Black Sabbath formed the band in Birmingham in 1968, becoming one of the most successful metal bands of all time, selling over 75 million albums worldwide.
Osbourne said:
"It’s my time to go Back to the Beginning….time for me to give back to the place where I was born. How blessed am I to do it with the help of people whom I love. Birmingham is the true home of metal. Birmingham Forever."

All profits from the show will be shared equally between the following charities: Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Acorn Children’s Hospice, a Children’s Hospice supported by Aston Villa.
