Organised by Birmingham Animal Action and Midlands Vegan Campaigns, it is a Birmingham first. The Vegan Fair is coming to Carrs Lane Church Centre on the first weekend of July to kick off healthy eating, and inform others about a vegan lifestyle. Oh, and there's free food too.
Forty stalls will be housed in the church centre, where producers and stockists will be sharing their wares. Cookery demonstrations, and talks about vegan living are also planned. Advice is a large part of this fair, purely because there is a considerable lack of vegan food options in the city centre and vegan information (where to buy eco-friendly washing powder/lowest waste producers/ in Birmingham.
The Vegan Fair isn't just about food and a non-animal diet. One of the core principles of veganism is to live sustainably, not from the other living mammals, but by being self-sufficient. Tips and anecdotes will be shared about an eco-friendly lifestyle and how to manage, when you've got a family to feed, and with the temptation of non-vegan quick fixes.
Carrs Lane Church Centre is located in the heart of Birmingham, on Moor Street Queensway. The venue is just across the road from Moor Street Train Station. New Street Train Station is only 5 minutes walk, Birmingham Coach Station is approx 10 minutes walk.
There isn't any parking at the church centre, however there is a car park directly opposite the centre, on the other side of the road.
For those who've chosen an animal-friendly lifestyle your dietary requirements are being celebrated. Go along and chat with like-minded people who have chosen this happy path.
