We look forward to presenting our ambitious triple bill Into The Music in the city. "It's been my ambition to programme this triple bill ever since I joined the company, and it will showcase some of the most important contemporary and classic choreographers. So I'm very excited to share it here in Birmingham. "We also have a revival of Sir Peter Wright's sublime Coppélia and we are also turning our attention to The Nutcracker, which has undergone a major refurbishment to make it even more luxurious for Birmingham. "We also look forward to some very exciting announcements in this period for the 23/24 season. Watch this space!'

INTO THE MUSIC: AUTUMN TRIPLE BILL
Bringing three very different pieces, there is something for everyone including a world premiere. The trio, performed from October 21 to 22, celebrates the marriage of music and movement.
Each of the performances isn't just about the dance as they have scintillating soundtracks too. They are set to major orchestral scores performed live by the Royal Ballet Sinfonia.
The triple bill opens with
The Seventh Symphony choreographed by German Uwe Scholz, who died in 2004. He worked regularly with classical repertoire and never more dramatically than in his work to Beethoven's vibrant
The Seventh Symphony.
Hotel is the second of the trilogy from choreographer Morgann Runacre-Temple and composer Mikael Karlsson. It's a world premiere that's been commissioned by Ballet Now.
Hotel takes the audience on a surreal journey into the secrets and lies that live behind closed doors.
Finally, Ji&
#345 ;í Kylián's Forgotten
Land illustrates why he is one of the most revered choreographers of the 20th Century with a gripping journey into memory and loss. It's set to the music of Benjamin Britten's
Sinfonia da Requiem.
COPPELIA
It's been five years since this enchanting family favourite was at Birmingham Hippodrome. It returns from October 26 to 29 with Sir Peter Wright's joyous version.
When eccentric toymaker Dr Coppélius leaves his greatest creation, the doll Coppélia, on his workshop balcony, she's soon causing quite a stir in the village. Comic chaos is unleashed as Dr Coppélius tries to bring Coppélia to life in this timeless classic.
THE NUTCRACKER
Sir Peter Wright's world-famous production of the classic Christmas tale returns in 2022 following a million-pound refurbishment.&
#8239 ;
Getting audiences in the Christmas mood,
The Nutcracker runs from November 19 to December 10.
There's been an extensive rebuild of John Macfarlane's exquisite sets, funded in large part by generous audience support through the Big Give.
Featuring 60 dancers, Tchaikovsky's dreamy music and magical scenes of dancing fairies and rats, it's a timeless classic.
