Ever have that longing to find an old favourite album or rare 12" vinyl from an obscure band but can't find it on the internet or in any shop? Many a music fan has felt that same remorse, but there is a glimmer of hope as a huge record fair heads to Birmingham.
Birmingham Record Fair returns to Birmingham at The Custard Factory in Digbeth on Saturday October 11.
Thousands of vinyl records, as well as CDs will be available while live music creates a vibrant atmosphere. Everything from reggae to prog rock, northern soul and hip hop is being sold by specialist traders.
Doors open for the event in Digbeth, Birmingham's trendy bohemian area, at 10am. Entry costs £2 but visitors who arrive late after 1pm will be allowed free entry - but don't leave it too late as the fair closes at 3.30pm.
Rob Lythall from VIP Events, which has organised the fair, said: "The fair is like a mini Brick Lane in London. It really is a great area to visit.
"There's lots of independent retailers, vintage sellers, 'boutique style' shops, record shops and more. There are several bars and café's now on site plus live bands are expected too!"
VIP Music holds a series of record fairs around the country and was holding other similar music market days in the Midlands at Wolverhampton town centre on October 4 and Leicester on October 5.
