With big names, like

One of the biggest events in the festival is undoubtedly the
Birmingham Comedy Festival Breaking Talent Award 2024 which takes place at The Glee Club on Thursday 10 October 2024.
The event sees five of the very best emerging comedians from the region -
Dom Bant, Lin Smith, Rich Spalding, Tom Towelling and
Gareth Williams - vie for the award.
An exciting chance to see the comedy stars of tomorrow, previous Breaking Talent nominees and winners have included such acts as Josh Pugh, Celya AB, Lindsey Santoro, Gary Powndland and Eric Rushton.

The festival also hosts two
Free Half-Dayers on consecutive Sundays (Sun 6 and Sun 13 Oct). Running from 1pm at Cherry Reds and The Victoria pub, both on John Bright Street in Birmingham's City Centre (close to New Street Station), each afternoon features eight one hour comedy shows - many of which come fresh from the Edinburgh Fringe.
Among the comics attending are
Eric Ruston, Rob Kemp, Sian Davies, Tal Davies, James Cook and
Jules O'Brian.
All shows are Free / PWYW, with no prior booking required.

Jumprov!, Behind The Headlines and more), and some of the very best comics from the city and surrounding area, such as
