Located at the Bussey Building in Peckham on 8 June,
The Big Noise Festival will comprise 14 hours of entertainment including live music and art, dance, comedy, circus acts, DJs, theatre groups, spoken word artists and installations. I think that just about includes something for everybody, as well as benefiting the homeless with the proceeds from the event.
Included among the acts already booked are:
The Cable Street Collective who play African influenced Carnival Pop

The London Drum Circle, filmed here recently performing at Jubilee Gardens, by the London Eye

And indie folk rock quintet, The Fancy Dress Party

Performance artists include Deanna Rodger, who was the youngest ever Poetry Slam Champion in 2008,
and Simon Mole.

Juliette's Rock 'n' Roll Circus do practically everything you can think of on stage that's clean,
and there will even be films on show, including
Refuge England and
The Vanishing Street courtesy of the BFI Free Cinema Collection.
The Big Noise Festival: a day of entertainment, with all proceeds going to the Big Issue Foundation, plus a chance to enjoy yourself and support the homeless, without even having to buy a magazine. Tickets are available online, or at the door on the day.
