The Victoria and Albert Museum's Big Draw, Big Make event on 30th September marks the beginning of the month-long Big Draw event, where children and adults from across the country are invited to join a series of fun events all geared towards celebrating the art of drawing.
The V&A's day-long gathering is completely free, and gives attendees the chance to have fun sketching, designing, painting, and much more besides.
More than 20 different activities will be taking place on the day, with proceedings kicking off at 11am and running through to 5pm.
Sketch out some weird and wonderful shoe designs with illustrator Nina Chakrabarti, drop in at the Imagination Station for a shape-and-pattern-based activity designed by CBeebies star Mister Maker, or try your hand at digital drawing on the iPad, learning about the best art apps in the process.
Join a cartoon workshop where you can learn from the experts about how to create your own cartoon, create a stage set with Roger la Borde, or create futuristic furniture designs using only matchboxes and card.
The list goes on, so may we recommend you take some time to check out the full timetable of events for the big day and go from there.
This fabulous free family-oriented event should be a great way to spend a Sunday, giving everyone a chance to exercise their creative muscles – after which you can go and explore the fine museum that is the Victoria and Albert.
