is setting up shop at the Theatre Royal in Nottingham on Thursday, 10 July 2025, with the curtain going up at 7:30 PM. If you fancy a couple of hours of tunes for 33 quid, this might be your cup of tea. It's a musical theatre concert that's been going strong for over a quarter of a century, so they've clearly got their act together. You can expect to hear a good mix of hits from the West End and Broadway, featuring numbers from familiar faces like The Phantom of the Opera, The Lion King, and Jesus Christ Superstar, alongside newer additions such as Hamilton. And naturally, it all builds up to a big finish from Les Misrables, because, well, it's in the name, isn't it.
On stage, you'll find Andy Reiss, David Fawcett, Katie Leeming, and Sarah Ryan, all of whom have spent some time in principal roles in Les Misrables, so they know their way around a revolutionary tune. They're backed by a proper live band, ensuring every note is played and sung on the spot, no shortcuts here. The idea is to give you the feel of the original performances, just without the need for a revolving stage. Word has it, the 2024 show was quite popular, so it seems to have a bit of a following.
