I know you don't want to look like everyone else, so don't
High street fashion is proving to cost a lot of money and I think it's a little too 'mainstream' (I didn't want to use that word, but I just had to). I don't know about other people, but when I walk around the high street, most people are wearing pretty much the same thing.
So when I was walking around London, I came across this store, which I had never heard of before. I was to soon realise that it was a vintage second hand store. Some people don't like the idea of second hand clothing, but I think it's really cool because you always get something different and unique!
The beautifully dressed mannequin dolls that greeted me in the entrance
So I went inside and was immediately greeted with dolls covered in fashion from different eras and a selection of leaflets that are distributed for customers to discover things such as festivals in London, which they can be a part of.
I went down stairs and it looked so crazy! Everywhere you looked there were different styles of clothing from 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s! If you're looking for sweatshirts, camo jackets, caps, dungarees, retro shirts, tutus, costumes and vintage accessories, they have it! It was interesting to see that this shop had so many cool things that I had I hadn't seen in a long time, or in fact EVER! It was like being back in time.
These are just some of the shirts that sold in beyond retro. They are my favourites!
What I love about this shop is the fact that they have very few amounts of each item or in fact, only one. So it makes you feel as if you own something different as you know that no one else has it! This shop also allows you to experiment with different styles from different eras, which most mainstream shops don't let you do!
And the prices?... Affordable! With second hand clothes and more particularly, vintage clothes, the prices do range, but you'll find that they aren't as expensive as some stores such as Topshop.
Price of a blouse that I stumbled across! I would say that's reasonable cheap!
Nowadays I always go to Beyond Retro to get my clothes as it helps me save money, and I always get something unique! For people on a budget of just looking to save cash on clothes, I would recommend that you check out this place! It is brilliant and it isn't a let down, trust me.
