Once Halloween has gone the shops are soon full of Christmas decorations and gifts. Instead of hitting the high street at the last minute, there are lots of Christmas craft fairs around Oxford to find unique gifts and enjoy a day out. Here are a few you could try.

Blenheim Palace
You couldn't get a more fantastic setting for a craft fair than Blenheim Palace. Enjoy a day out with the family at Living Crafts for Christmas , running from 16th to 18th November and offering over 130 British designer makers.

Designer jewellery, millinery and wreaths are just a few of the crafts you could purchase and if you're looking for something to tantilise the tastebuds there will also be plenty of produce in abundance. To add to the atmosphere you can watch demonstrations of everything from stone carving to bell ringing and streat theatre. To treat your children for their patience as you wander the stalls, head over to the Pleasure Garden for some outdoor adventure fun. Annual Pass holders enjoy a 50% discount of £5.75.

This vibrant village will hold a Christmas craft fayre on Sunday 11th November. It will run from 12pm to 4pm with glassware, jewellery, handmade chocolates and more. You can even have a massage if carrying all your gifts gets too much.

Wallingford
The market town of Wallingford will be home to a charity Christmas Fair on 3rd November with money raised for the 1st Wallingford Boys Brigade. They focus on independent and unusual stalls and avoid big selling companies so you can be sure to find something unique here. Held at Wallingford Methodist Church, St Leonard's Square.

Thame
Thame has a well established market. They will hold a Christmas craft market on 30th November starting at 6pm. Stalls will be set up around the Town Hall and stretching down the High Street. With the street closed to traffic it will be comfortable to wander around and make your selections.

I know where I'll be buying from Christmas presents from this year.
