Just over 1.5 hours from Glasgow city centre, is an easy distance for a day trip. Situated on the banks of Loch Lomond in the National Park, the scenery is beautiful in every direction you look. Don't forget the camera!
is one of the easier Munros to climb as there is a very well maintained path all the way to the top. Paid parking is available at the start of the walk where you will also find a tourist information centre and toilets. The round trip to the summit and back down is 12km / 7.5 miles and should take roughly 4.5 - 5.5 hours to walk it. The ascent is 990 meters and once you have reached the summit there are two options you can choose to walk back down, either take the same way or return down the Ptarmigan Ridge. Taking the pathway down the ridge will give you even more spectacular views for a different perspective but the path is not as well maintained so can be boggy after wet weather.
This is a very popular Munro to climb so be ready to meet a lot of people. It is not so peaceful as other hill climbs but well worth the climb.

Walk Highlands website .
Enjoy the walk.
