Ever since it opened almost a year ago, has been a firm weekend favourite for our family. Be it summer or winter, rain or shine, whenever we fancy a special sweet treat, it's inevitably where we end up. Our sweet-toothed three-year-old adores it!


As you walk into the ice cream parlour on Upper Richmond Road in East Sheen, a rainbow of icecream greets you. From vibrant vanilla-blue to vivid apple-green, there is a vast array of wonderful colours and flavours to choose from. Strawberry, creme caramel, pomegranate, roasted coffee, chilli chocolate, raspberry, pistachio, cookies & cream and banana are just some of the choices available.





All of the deliciously thick whipped ice cream is freshly made on site. For one scoop it costs £2.40 and for two scoops £4.00 - definitely worth it for the high quality - and this comes on a freshly made plain or chocolate-dipped cone, with or without sprinkles. There are also sweet crepes and freshly baked waffles with a choice of toppings, frozen yoghurts, sundaes, smoothies, milkshakes, juices and a range of coffees and teas. As well as all this, there's a selection of savoury crepes and salads on the menu too, so you can have a less sugar-laden family lunch if you want.

Some other examples of pricing: sweet crepes range from £4.90 to £6.90 depending on which topping you choose (Belgian chocolate and fresh strawberries is a mid-range option), and baked waffles cost from £4.10 (for rich cinnamon and sugar) and go up to £6.80 (for banana, walnuts and maple syrup). Savoury crepes start from £5.90, which gets you cheese and fresh tomato, and go up to £8.90 for smoked salmon, spinach, brie and avocado, with a lot more choices in between. There are also four fresh salads costing between £7.20 and £8.90, and juices, smoothies and milkshakes are all £4.90. Whatever you go for, it can be taken away or eaten inside; there are quite a few tables to sit at, plus a unisex toilet at the back.

is located at 343 Upper Richmond Road in the heart of East Sheen. The long lines out of the door during the summer are proof that the locals approve of East Sheen's new little taste of Italy. I think it has become a popular choice for families because it's somewhere different to go amid the numerous coffee shops and cafes, and it will definitely get the kids' approval!
