If you're looking for a way to get a workout at the same time as having fun with friends, beach volleyball is a great way to do this. Wimbledon Park has two beach volleyball courts, which are available for hire to the public. The courts are open during daylight hours and the cost is £16 per hour per court, which includes the ball.

This is the perfect sport for people of all ages and skill levels. Whether you're playing competitively or just as a fun weekend activity, it's a great way to keep active and get some fresh air into your lungs. Being a team sport, with up to 6 players on a team, beach volleyball is also a good bonding experience that will get everyone involved.

At the Wimbledon Park volleyball courts you can let your feet sink into the sand that was trodden on by Olympic champions. The sand used on these courts is the same sand that was used in the 2012 Olympic Beach volleyball courts in Horse Guards Parade.

So get your team together and give it a try, even if it may take you a while to get a rally going, you're sure to have a fun time diving to get to that ball and forgetting how hard you are working. You'll find it's easy to play for more than an hour without even realising it!
