The BBC has announced that it will be touring the North of England in the lead up to 2017, with a string of red-carpet premieres to be held in a special 100 seat cinema.
The grand tour will begin on the 20th December in Carlisle and will end in Hull (which is to be crowned UK City of Culture 2017) on New Year's Day and promises to bring some festive cheer.
Although the content will be tailored to suit each location, the audience can expect highlights to include children's favourites such as CBBC's The Worst Witch, CBeebies' The Nutcracker and the greatly-anticipated adaptation of Roald Dahl's Revolting Rhymes. There's guaranteed to be plenty on offer for adults too, including a seasonal Call The Midwife and a visit to Mr Khan and his family with Citizen Khan.
