So on Wednesday, 29th January 2025 at 7 pm, get ready to chill at Metronome for a little something called BBC Introducing in the East Midlands. No, it's not a secret society for music nerds, but it's close – you get to enjoy some seriously cool local tunes for free. Just remember to book a spot because, sadly, the universe doesn't let you just stroll in without confirmation. This event will be filmed and recorded for a radio broadcast, so you might end up being a part of something that goes beyond Nottingham, which is either thrilling or terrifying, depending on how you feel about being on air.
Now, if you've been living under a rock (or perhaps just haven't been keeping up with local music), you might want to know that some fantastic artists have graced our event before. We've seen the likes of Alfie Sharp and Alice Robbins, to name just a few. With a lineup that sounds like a who's who of up-and-coming talent, there's plenty of potential for you to discover your new favourite band, or at the very least, have a good chuckle at a few artist names. Just so you know, this gig is for all you cool cats aged 14 and older, though if you are under 16, you'll need to bring an adult with you – think of it as a parental concert buddy system.
