Fans of the BBC TV programme
Gardeners' World will know that since lockdown viewers have been submitting videos of their gardens, to be screened alongside advice from presenter Monty Don. Ideas from four of those videos have been incorporated by Pip Probert in The Viewer's Garden. As well as herbs, fruit and vegetables, and mixed planted borders, Pip has been inspired to to use repurposed and recycled materials for the greenhouse and potting shed, and to include hedgehog ramps and sculptures suggested by viewers.

In addition to large show gardens, there was a competition for smaller showcase gardens.
My Garden Escape, designed by
Kitti Kovacs , gained gold and was named Best Showcase Garden. Featuring bold planting and stylish furniture, the aim was to create a versatile outdoor space suitable for both socialising and tranquillity.

A garden that was not in competition is sure to be a magnet for visitors to the show. Presenter Adam Frost has designed The Chef's Table, a rustic outdoor cooking and dining area, full of fantastic fruit, vegetables and herbs. Take a wander through the naturalised setting and you'll come across kale and Swiss chard growing among ornamental plants, pots of beetroot, rosemary and thyme, and five apple trees ready to fruit.
