BBC Big Band is ready to 'shake not stir' the stage of
Tamworth Assembly Rooms in Tamworth, Staffordshire, to celebrate the music of the world's most iconic movie franchise, James Bond. The BBC Big Band will be joined at the Assembly Rooms by special guest vocalists Emer McParland and Iain MaKenzie on Friday, October 8. The audience is invited to don their 007 glad rags and get ready to be entertained by all the famous and familiar Bond theme tunes and musical tracks as they reminisce about some of the very best Bond movies ever to grace the giant screen. The concert is set to feature classic numbers including Diamonds are Forever, Thunderball, We Have All The Time In The World, View to a Kill, and Goldfinger, as well as John Barry's iconic James Bond theme. There will also be a selection of more contemporary numbers from the James Bond musical library.
Widely regarded as the world's leading and most versatile jazz orchestras, The BBC Big Band continues to delight audiences around the world through their broadcasts on BBC Radio and their live performances. In addition to its regular studio and broadcast work, the BBC Big Band regularly gives live performances at major venues around the UK, including Proms in the Park in Hyde Park, Cadogan Hall, The Royal Albert Hall, Manchester Bridgewater Hall and Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.
