To paraphrase Dorothy: 'There is no place like London.' I hope I can convince you of that here. Also check out my blog at damselwithadulcimer.wordpress.com and my theatre reviews at www.playstosee.com

Affordable Art in Battersea Park this March
In 1996 Will Ramsay opened Will's Art Warehouse in Parson's Green, moving the venture to Putney eleven years later. Building on the success of the original warehouse he went on to create the Affordable Art Fair in Battersea Park in 1999, an event attended by 10,000 visitors. There are now two annual fairs in Battersea (in March and October) and several more around the world.

A visit to the fair this March will encompass education and workshops, talks and tours, a crèche (complete with a goody bag) for children aged between 2 and 10 and a café and wine bar. Of course there will also be artworks on sale divided into two categories: less than £500, and between £500 and £4,000. There is also a host of information on the website to offer guidance to those who are starting their first art collection and there even handy hints on framing and hanging your pictures.

The works for sale will be drawn from art galleries across the UK, Europe and North America. To give you some inspiration, here are a few works of art that will be available to buy; there are even more on the website.
