Nearly everybody has heard of Battersea Dog and Cat home. The legendary London animal shelter has been overlooking the power station since 1871, and has been providing a home for lost and unwanted animals ever since. For the last 18 years the home has been putting on its annual reunion and fun day. This is a day that anyone and everyone is invited to, but more specifically it is a chance for people to bring back the dogs they have adopted and meet up with all of their friends (both human and canine!)

On Sunday the 9th of September the Fun Day will be taking place in the grounds of Battersea Park. Starting at 11am and finishing at 4.30 it has got something for everyone, old or young. You can peruse through the various stalls on offer. Whether you like handmade jewellery or just want to shop for your pooch you can wile away the time whilst having a look. You also have the chance to relive your youth by having a go on the stalls such as the coconut shy! If you bring your dog along with you he/she can also join in the fun. There are 13 different classes that you can enter your dog into including waggiest tail and catch the biscuit. Each class costs £2 to enter and all are open to all abilities, so you don't have to have won crufts to enter. Its all just a bit of fun.

So, if you like dogs and want to help out the charity whilst having a good day in the sun then take a trip down to Battersea Park. Take the dog and the rest of the family and make a day of it.
