Calling all comic book and Batman movie fans - Batman Live is a brand new arena tour. Already touring all over the world, it is coming to London's O2 arena.

This live action adventure is a multi-million pound production which brings your favourite Batman characters to life. It is described as something no one has even seen before and completely unique and a must see for Batman and DC comics fans.

The story stays true to the original comic book story as we watch Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson transform into the legendary duo Batman and Robin. It follows their journey and adventure as they bring justice to Gotham.

A mixture of acrobatics, live stunts and illusions bring Gotham City to life. All of the original locations from the story are brought into reality including Wayne Manor, The Bat Cave and Arkham Asylum. You are invited to join Batman and Robin as they fight their arch nemesis The Joker, as well as appearances from other famous characters, including Catwoman, The Penguin, Two-Face, Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn and not forgetting much-loved characters Alfred and Commissioner Gordon.

The show begins touring the UK in late summer for 11 weeks, beginning in Manchester in July, as well as visiting Glasgow, Newcastle, Liverpool and Sheffield. Tickets for the show can be purchased here.

The show is a huge event and is designed for audiences of 4,000 to 10,000. It has a brand new pre-recorded sound track using nearly 100 musicians, and they shows set is said to be spectacular and includes 100 foot video wall. A brand new state of the art Batmobile has been made for the show and it takes around 17 trucks for the full production set and staging to get from venue to venue.

It is set to be a spectacle not to be missed, so if you are a fan or just want to see what all the fuss is about, I suggest you book tickets as soon as possible. Although some of the special effects might be a little shocking, the show as been designed with families in mind and is said to be suitable for children as young as 6.
