The Bastille Day festival at Borough Market has grown in five years to become London's largest free Bastille Day Festival celebrating the French Fête Nationale on the 14th of July.
The French national holiday commemorates the storming of the Bastille fortress on the 14th July 1789 during the French Revolution and is celebrated in France with an annual military parade and fireworks across the country.
In London, the French community around London Bridge are celebrating French culture and food around Park Street and Borough Market with artisan stalls, cooking demonstrations, cheese master-classes, and a party from 6pm around Stoney Street with a prize for the best Bastille Day costume.
Highlights this year include a Waiter's Race from 11 am, Perfume and Cycling presentations and a Hat Show at 2pm as well as live music featuring French musicians, street performers and even a guillotine.
To help you get into the spirit of things they are also offering Bastille Day discounts at Clink Prison and The London Bridge Experience.
