Viva la Révolution! It's time to celebrate the France National Day, also known as the beginning of the French Revolution held on 14 of July.

In France, the Bastille Day is celebrated on the famous Champs-Elysees, with parades and restaurants and bars offering the best of French cuisine and culture.

As part of the festivities, Le Truc restaurant in Birmingham is putting together the Bastille Celebrations , on 12th of July. A day of live music, nice cocktails, special meals and some Petánque, the centenary French game.

Guests who book a table between 12-5pm will be treated with the famous "the taste of France in a glass"- a cocktail composed by absinthe, elder flowers and champagne. Trés Bien!

They will also appreciate the nice music of Strumpit , a gypsy jazz collective of musicians based in the West Midlands, as well as a performance by the talented Anthony Marsden .

Get involved in the Petánque Tournament! I'm sure some cocktails and the vibrant Bastille celebrations will put you in the right mood for it.

Le Truc is located in the heart of the Chinese Quarter in the Southside of Birmingham.
