explores the practical, political and personal issues of depicting past gay experience in the light of modern sensibilities.
Examining the lives of Edward Carpenter, D.H.Lawrence, Frederick Rolfe (Baron Corvo), Lord Alfred Douglas and Oscar Wilde, the poet, playwright and theatre director, Campbell Kay reflects on the depiction of historic gay experience through the lens of contemporary sensibilities. This dramatised performance piece references Campbell Kay's newly published play Fatal Friendship (Douglas and Wilde), his latest collection of poems Letters from Venice (Rolfe/Corfo) and Phoenix Rising (Lawrence).
