To mark the release of a deluxe version of their 2021
Dear Monsters album, American heavy metal band
Bad Wolves are performing in the UK, including a date at Birmingham's
Asylum on December 13.
As well as the tracks featured on the original release, the new digital deluxe edition boasts all of the music included on the band's
If Tomorrow Never Comes and
Sacred Kiss EPs –
If Tomorrow Never Comes (featuring Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills),
The Body, Sacred Kiss (featuring Aaron Pauley from Of Mice & Men),
Up In Smoke and
I Don't Wanna Feel – alongside B-sides and acoustic versions. There is also Bad Wolves' version of Ozzy Osbourne's iconic track,
Mama I'm Coming Home, which amassed 75,000 views in its first weekend on YouTube.
After starting to write music for the group in 2014, drummer John Boecklin launched Bad Wolves in 2017. They have since released three albums –
Disobey, N.A.T.I.O.N. and
Dear Monsters. Original members, drummer John Boecklin, guitarist Doc Coyle and bassist Kyle Konkiel, have now been joined by vocalist Daniel "DL" Laskiewicz – previously of The Acacia Strain – and rhythm guitarist Max Karon.
Announcing on social media the addition of Max (who replaced Chris Cain earlier this year), the band said: "
The funny thing is that Max isn't new to us, he started the band with founder John Boecklin in 2014 and was a major writer/player on all three Bad Wolves albums. Being a key ingredient to the Bad Wolves sound, this was a no-brainer decision."
Explaining the thinking behind the deluxe version of Dear Monsters, John Boecklin said: "
With so many different versions of songs and unreleased material from the Dear Monsters sessions we decided to release a deluxe version with everything in one spot. I Don't Want To Feel was the first song 'DL' brought to the band, and has a special place in our hearts. Wildfire is an orchestral version and is a darker side of our original."
**Bad Wolves 2022 UK tour dates:
December 11: Academy III, Manchester;
December 12: Underworld, London;
December 13: The Asylum, Birmingham;
December 14: Cathouse, Glasgow. **
