To be honest I wasn't expecting too much of the event when I visited the Spring Market last year. And I was completely wrong. The weather was fine and the queue was huge at
The Bond Company .
It was part of the successful
Seasonal Markets held at Birmingham. And it seems everyone decided to go to Digbeth to check some nice street food and some drinks.
The first thing that I really liked from the Seasonal Market was the variety of food.
There was even a double decker bus serving ale and that was probably one of the most popular attractions at the site. Not forgetting that a Dj in the top of the double decker who kept people entertained.
So, here we go again with one more edition of the Seasonal Market. This time with Autumn Market on October 31st. The venues is the same, The Bond Company, because they are doing a great job in other three seasonal markets as well (Winter, Spring, Summer).
It's an excellent experience for the whole family.
Checking the independent shops ad, seeing how people are into homemade food and craftwork is always something special.
I tried some cake and my husband and his friend didn't think twice before going for some pork pies and scotch eggs.
I decided to go for some Filipino food and it was absolutely delicious - but there are so many options!
As I wasn't drinking, I wanted to try just a single cocktail but unfortunately they didn't have the one I wanted. If you are going to visit the Autumn this year, make sure you go early. The drinks go fast and you may not find what you want.
The entrance is very cheap ( £1.50 - or £1.00 if you have the Independent Birmingham card). Kids are free. For what is offered in the market, it is value for money indeed.
The whole experience is really nice and if the weather helps, kids will make the most of it as well having their faces painted and enjoying the sunshine (even if it will be in a Cold October day) in Digbeth.
